The Westview Wildcats lost against the Beaverton Beavers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Westview lost to Beaverton on the road by a decisive 68-52 margin. Westview has not had much luck with Beaverton recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Westview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Delaney Logan, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kaleah Medeiros, who scored 14 points.
Westview has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Beaverton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
Westview will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. Jesuit presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westview in Oregon (Jesuit is ranked 14th, while Westview is ranked 78th). As for Beaverton, they will head out on the road to square off against Sunset at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunset has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
