After three games on the road, GVCS Broadfording is heading back home. They will take on the Fort Hill Sentinels at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
GVCS Broadfording suffered their biggest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-36 walloping at the hands of Musselman. While losing is never fun, GVCS Broadfording can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 115th in Maryland, while Musselman is ranked 31st in West Virginia).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-43, which was the final score in Fort Hill's tilt against Smithsburg on Wednesday. Fort Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
GVCS Broadfording's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Fort Hill, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
