Trinity won the last time they faced Shamokin Area and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went the Trinity Shamrocks' way against the Shamokin Area Indians as the Trinity Shamrocks made off with an 89-68 win. The Shamrocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Owen Schlager, who went 9 of 14 en route to 28 points in addition to five assists and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last 18 games he's played. Nicholas Smith was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Shamokin Area's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joe Hile, who went 8 of 14 to rack up 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Case Litchy, who posted 12 points and seven boards.
