While Bolivar's win against Clinton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Liberators narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cardinals 8-7. The Liberators haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Bolivar got a big performance out of Evan Mortensen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Mortensen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolt Hill, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Bolivar's record now sits at 3-1. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Bolivar will square off against Lighthouse Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clinton, they will face off against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
