The Barstow Aztecs will challenge the Buena Bulldogs at 11:30  a.m.  on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Barstow entered their tilt with Victor Valley with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with  a   13-9  victory over the Jackrabbits  on Tuesday.
  Mariah Rodriguez and  Alyssa Ramsey did most of the damage at the plate:  Rodriguez  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 5-for-5, while  Ramsey  scored three  runs while going 3-for-5. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted three or more  hits the last four times she's  played.  Brooke Miller was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile, Buena got the win against Santa Clara  last Thursday by a conclusive  11-2. The  win was just what Buena needed coming off of  a  16-3 loss in their prior  matchup.
 Buena also got a great performance from  Olivia Bossoletti as she  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Natalie Pierce, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Madison Shay, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Barstow has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record  this season. As for Buena, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
