After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Millbrook School, Trinity-Pawling School was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the Kent School Lions. Considering the Pride's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Mikey Prince made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Trinity-Pawling School got a massive performance out of Alex Cruz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles. Those four runs gave Cruz a new career-high. Alexander Jendras was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Trinity-Pawling School hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kent School struck out seven times.
Trinity-Pawling School's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Kent School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
