Millburn posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 68-37 win over Verona at home. Given Millburn's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Verona is ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zach Benmorits continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Millburn's points. Another player making a difference was Chace Redler, who scored 12 points.
Cranford aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Thursday extended their overall winning streak to three. They walked away with a 65-55 win over Summit. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Millburn is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Cranford, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
