There's no place like home for the Wilton Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-32 victory over Bridgeport Central. Given Wilton's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Bridgeport Central is ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wilton was led to victory by Ryan Luchetta and Henry Roy. Luchetta scored 14 points, while Roy scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Roy, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Wilton pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Bridgeport Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilton will take on St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 481 points over their last seven matches. As for Bridgeport Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bassick at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
