Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maricopa). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Mingus Marauders 57-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

A big part of Maricopa's victory came down to the chemistry between Jose Cardona Jr and his top target Fabian Marrufo. Cardona Jr gained 152 total yards and two touchdowns while Marrufo gained 83 total yards and two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Maricopa proved: they limited Mingus to a paltry -0.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Clayton Neal for the heroic effort on defense: he. Maricopa's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.8 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 4.93 on average over their last three games.

Maricopa's defense didn't let Hunter Bejarano, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Xander Rios, Derek Day, and Tayeshawn Hester, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Maricopa now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mingus, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
