The Ada Cougars managed to keep up with the Fort Gibson Tigers until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Ada was outmatched by Fort Gibson on the road and fell 53-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ada has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Ada still got an impressive performance from Rylynn Truett, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Ada are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10. As for Fort Gibson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Ada will head out on the road to take on Harrah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Harrah is ranked 193rd, while Ada is ranked 184th). As for Fort Gibson, Fort Gibson and Catoosa will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Catoosa comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
