With a playoff game on the line, the Jones Trojans rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged Calallen out 27-25. This was payback for Jones, who suffered a 30-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Jones' win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Calallen, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Jones will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Calallen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
