Southeastern has won four straight games at home, while Appalachian has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Mustangs will welcome the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Southeastern's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Ranburne.
Emellie Hamilton made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklynn Davlin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Maci Vest was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Southeastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .515. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Appalachian won against Cleveland on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Appalachian put the hurt on Jefferson Christian Academy with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering Appalachian has won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kylee Owens and Trinity Day did most of the damage at the plate: Owens went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI, while Day went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Graci McGuire, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Appalachian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Southeastern, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Southeastern hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Appalachian struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
