The Gorham Fayette Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 48-40 to Swanton. Gorham Fayette has not had much luck with Swanton recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Swanton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Crow, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peighton Manning, who scored 14 points.
Gorham Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Swanton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gorham Fayette will square off against Montpelier at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Swanton, they will head out on the road to face off against Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
