Centennial is 9-1 against Central since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Cobras at 4:00 p.m. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Centennial turned things around against Treasure Coast on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Brereton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Centennial let Rayne Cohen and Autumn Prakash run wild. Cohen went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Prakash scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Prakash has posted since back in April of 2024. Giana Devries also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Treasure Coast only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, Central started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Jensen Beach. They came up short against the Falcons on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cobras in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost eight in a row.
Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LILLY HERNDON, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Centennial's record is now 12-6. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
Everything went Centennial's way against Central when the teams last played back in February, as Centennial made off with a 13-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
