Basketball Recap: Trey Williams Key Part of Team Effort in Longhorns Win

White not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 4th (when they won 97-25). They blew past Caprock 62-38.

White got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey Williams out in front who shot 83% from the field en route to 11 points and seven assists. Williams has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Momar Diakhate was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: White was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

White has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Caprock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

White didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-43 victory against Roosevelt on the 25th. As for Caprock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-48 win against Perryton on the 25th.
