Nikos Connaway was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with seven steals and six assists for Van-Far. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Connaway has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carter Jennings, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Monroe City's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Van-Far, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Monroe City will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Van-Far will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Silex at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Silex will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while Van-Far is ranked 207th).
