The Dayton Christian WARRIORS couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 56-43 to Madison on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dayton Christian in their matchups with Madison: they've now lost three in a row.
Madison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grady Combs, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Grooms, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Dayton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayton Christian will challenge Emmanuel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against Waynesville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
