Brattleboro and Mt. St. Joseph Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Brattleboro Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Brattleboro pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Rutland at home by a decisive 72-55 margin. Brattleboro has struggled against Rutland recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jack Cady, who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Johnathon Haskins, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Mt. St. Joseph Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. The match between them and Burr & Burton wasn't particularly close, with Mt. St. Joseph Academy falling 54-40.
Brattleboro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
Brattleboro was able to grind out a solid victory over Mt. St. Joseph Academy in their previous meeting back in January, winning 56-45. Does Brattleboro have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mt. St. Joseph Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
