The Unity Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Quad Cities Christian, falling 73-26. Unity Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-11.
Unity Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Graham Foust, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Carsen Bennett who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foust has scored all season.
It was another big night for Seth Karl, who scored 22 points along with six assists and six rebounds for Quad Cities Christian. Karl has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeke Agbezouhlon, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Quad Cities Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Unity Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face the at 8:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Pathway Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday. As for Quad Cities Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Mustangs at 11:30 a.m. on February 3rd.
