After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Christian Lara in the second quarter,
Santa Fe (Santa Fe Springs, Calif.) was up 28-6 at the half.
The Chiefs expanded their lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. Santa Fe scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by Lara to
Jesse Benitez.
Even though SF led by 29 entering the fourth quarter, it poured the points on, scoring 14 in the quarter.
Godinez's lone touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.
With the win the Santa Fe Springs school extended its winning streak to three games.
In a non-conference game next week Godinez (1-2) takes on Segerstrom, and Santa Fe (3-0) will go up against Santiago also in a non-conference game.
