The Charlotte Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Pettus by a score of 43-41. Charlotte was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pettus apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Pettus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isa Martinez, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Miranda Monson, who scored 9 points.
Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pettus, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Charlotte will square off against Jourdanton at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Jourdanton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Charlotte in Texas (Jourdanton is ranked 325th, while Charlotte is ranked 1142nd). Pettus' road trip will continue as they head out to face Nixon-Smiley at 1:30 p.m. on November 30th.
