The Delta Panthers came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 68-30 victory over Coal Ridge. Delta has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season.
Leading Delta to victory were Kylie Huff and Breezy Huff. Huff scored 15 points along with two steals, while Huff scored 15 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Huff scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolee Robinson, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, Coal Ridge had strong showings from Brilee Jensen, who scored eight points, and Riley Cheney, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Delta's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.71 points. As for Coal Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Coincidentally, Delta and Coal Ridge will both be playing Rifle the next time they take the court. Delta will head out to face Rifle at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Coal Ridge will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
