Given Lake Cormorant's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while South Panola is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, South Panola still got an impressive performance from Demartric Houston, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Griffin, who scored eight points.
Lake Cormorant's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for South Panola, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
