After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prairie Central, Rantoul was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Thomas More Sabers an 11-0 shutout. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Rantoul's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for St. Thomas More, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rantoul will square off against Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Thomas More, they will take on Argenta-Oreana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sabers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bombers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
