The Whitney Point Eagles will be playing at home against the Chenango Forks Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Back in January, Whitney Point earned a 60-53 victory over Watkins Glen. The win was just what Whitney Point needed coming off of a 69-34 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Chenango Forks came into Wednesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Chenango Valley by a score of 47-35 on Wednesday.
Stephen Samsel was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Raab, who scored six points.
The win got Whitney Point back to even at 5-5. As for Chenango Forks, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Whitney Point suffered a grim 59-39 defeat to Chenango Forks in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Thankfully for Whitney Point, Garrett Kraack (who scored 21 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
