The Calhoun Yellow Jackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Calhoun was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-54 to Blessed Trinity.
Daniel Streete put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points along with three steals. Streete also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Hammett, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Notre Dame, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They were the victim of a rough 49-25 defeat at the hands of Boyd-Buchanan on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Notre Dame has scored all season.
Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Notre Dame, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Calhoun came up short against Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 65-61. Will Calhoun have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
