On Thursday, The Eaglecrest Raptors faced the Arapahoe Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eaglecrest took a 31-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arapahoe. Eaglecrest has struggled against Arapahoe recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Eaglecrest's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Ryan and Joe Steiner. Ryan picked up 54 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Steiner threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns.
Arapahoe found their leader in underclassman Trajan Frasier, who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Andrew Smart also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Eaglecrest's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Arapahoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
