East Central and Harrison are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in East Central's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Harrison has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Wednesday, East Central needed a bit of extra time to put away Lawrenceburg. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 7-5.

Rose Yunger spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Delaney Donawerth was incredible, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Seal, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: East Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Harrison lost 13-5 to Talawanda on Monday.
Aubrey Murphy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.
East Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .413. However, it's not like Harrison struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went East Central's way against Harrison in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as East Central made off with a 16-8 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
