Baseball Recap: South Warren's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

South Warren not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 18-1). They never let the Warren Central Dragons get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

South Warren got a massive performance out of Griffin Rardin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Rardin has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Justin Capps, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

South Warren always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

South Warren moved to 18-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Warren Central, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

South Warren will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
