With a playoff game on the line, East Columbus rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They skirted past the Chatham Charter Knights  8-6. The  victory was familiar territory for East Columbus who now have four in a row.
  Gracie Coyle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Coyle has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Coyle was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Chynna Patrick was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.  Kaley Mitchell was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 East Columbus' win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Chatham Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
 As of now, neither East Columbus nor Chatham Charter have any future games scheduled.
