The Clewiston Tigers will head out to face off against the Aubrey Rogers Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clewiston's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Aubrey Rogers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Clewiston is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since April 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sebring by a score of 4-2. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Blue Streaks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Cayson Holman was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Holman wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Graysen Redish, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aubrey Rogers). They blew past Gateway Charter 22-2 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Cole Woessner looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Alex Peters was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Harry Lyons, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
Aubrey Rogers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Aubrey Rogers pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for Clewiston, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Clewiston has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Aubrey Rogers struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
