Palmyra put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Conestoga Valley Buckskins 10-3. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Aiden Willard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Brayden Bown tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Palmyra let Nate Osteen and Jack Hathaway run wild. Osteen went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hathaway went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Hathaway a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julian Meley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Palmyra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conestoga Valley only posted a batting average of .200.

Palmyra pushed their record up to 22-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Conestoga Valley, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-9-1.

Palmyra wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Lampeter-Strasburg on the 26th. As for Conestoga Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Elizabethtown on the 27th.
