The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 48-34 fall against Ville de Marie Academy on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Arrowhead Christian Academy has scored all season.
Marcus Edwards and Cristian DeLaCruz certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Edwards scored ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks, while DeLaCruz scored ten points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Edwards posted two or more blocks.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Ville de Marie Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy will face off against Brighton Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ville de Marie Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Sonoran Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. Sonoran Science Academy has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
