The Spring Creek Gators will face off against the Eastern Wayne Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Spring Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Rosewood with a sharp 67-43 win. The match marked the Gators' most dominant victory of the season.

Spring Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brennan Chambers led the charge by going 6 for 13 en route to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Chambers has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Nathan Jackson, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points.
Chambers wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Spring Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Bulldogs, posting an 85-53 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Spring Creek better keep an eye on Michael Bailey. He was instrumental in Eastern Wayne's win, going 13 for 22 en route to 24 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.
Spring Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Eastern Wayne, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Spring Creek has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Eastern Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Spring Creek suffered a grim 83-57 defeat to Eastern Wayne in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Spring Creek was down 41-20.
