Basketball Recap: Westville's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Westville's win against Washington Township wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Westville Blackhawks skirted past the Washington Township Senators 52-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-42 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hillary Labis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Labis is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last nine games she's played. Andrea Benefield was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Several Senators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooklyn Campbell, who posted eight points along with 14 boards and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Gracie Little, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Westville, bringing their record for this year to 17-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Washington Township, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Westville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-45 win against South Central on the 24th. Washington Township has also already played their next matchup, a 52-30 victory against LaVille on the 28th.
