Even though Bethel Christian Academy has not done well against Varsity Opponent recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Bethel Christian Academy took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 44-15 win over Varsity Opponent. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bethel Christian Academy.
Providence Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 58-36 margin over State Line HomeSchool R. The victory was just what Providence Academy needed coming off of a 68-37 defeat in their prior match.
Providence Academy can attribute much of their success to Myla Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Kinley Painter, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 assists. The matchup was Painter's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Lily Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Bethel Christian Academy's win lifted them to 2-2 while Varsity Opponent's defeat dropped them down to 14-73.
