NorthWood were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Goshen 43-14. NorthWood have a history of success against Goshen, winning their last head-to-head 43-14.
NorthWood's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 30 points in the first half. Goshen came up with 7 to make it 30-7 heading into the break. The NorthWood defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game.
Senior Bronson Yoder, who rushed for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in NorthWood's success. Sophomore Nate Newcomer was in the mix, too, providing NorthWood with 2 touchdowns. The victory bumped their record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Goshen's record to 1-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. NorthWood will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Wawasee. As for Goshen, they will face off against Concord. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win.
