Guajome Park Academy extended their losing streak  to three  on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 5-12 in the process. They came up short against  the La Jolla Country Day Torreys, falling  20-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Torreys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  17-4  back in March.
As for La Jolla Country Day, their record now sits at 6-11. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
For La Jolla Country Day's part,  Ayla Desai made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Desai has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Brooklyn Givens was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Emma Buberl also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Guajome Park Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  22-8  loss against Orange Glen on the 9th. As for La Jolla Country Day, they have also already played their next game,  a  14-2  defeat against Coastal Academy on the 8th.
