Glasgow and McKean are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Glasgow Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the McKean Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Glasgow is ranked 41st, while McKean is ranked 43rd).
Glasgow entered their tilt with Dickinson with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Glasgow walked away with a 25-14 victory over Dickinson on Friday.
Glasgow's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamar Smith, who rushed for 119 yards. Gavin Mason also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Glasgow's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Kameryn Swinney was the leader with two sacks.
McKean fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They claimed a resounding 34-6 victory over Christiana at home.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-6.
Glasgow didn't have too much breathing room in their match against McKean when the teams last played back in November of 2020, but they still walked away with a 24-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glasgow since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
