Durand is 8-2 against Byron since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Durand Railroaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Byron Eagles at 7:00  p.m. The timing is sure in Durand's favor as the  team sits on five straight wins at home while Byron has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
 Last Friday, Durand lost to Chesaning on the road  by a decisive  54-40 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Durand has scored all season.
 Despite the  defeat, Durand saw an underclassman step up:  Darius Aldrich  scored eight points along with 14  rebounds.  Levi Smith was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with two  steals.
 Meanwhile, Byron came up short against Morrice on Tuesday and fell  38-31.
 Durand's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Byron, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost five of their last six matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
 Everything came up roses for Durand against Byron in their previous meeting  back in December of 2023 as the  squad secured a  81-44 victory. Does  Durand have another victory up their sleeve, or will Byron turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
