The Basha Bears will challenge the Horizon Huskies at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Basha took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Hamilton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies on Thursday, sneaking past 5-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Parker Biltimier tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has become a key player for Basha: the team is 4-1-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Basha's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Cooper, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Horizon won against Arizona College Prep on Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Huskies put the hurt on Campo Verde with a sharp 10-4 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Huskies have posted against the Coyotes since March 23, 2022.
Ryan Tomey was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Parker Burke looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Patton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hudson Grainger, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Basha, their win bumped their record up to 9-10-1.
Basha couldn't quite finish off Horizon in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 and fell 8-6. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
