Softball Recap: Franklin County Has No Trouble Against Patrick Henry

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin County). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Patrick Henry Patriots on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Franklin County and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Franklin County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Cave Spring on the 2nd. As for Patrick Henry, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 win against Fleming on the 1st.
