It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 91-18, which was the final score in Crismon's's tilt against Estrella Foothills on Saturday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Estrella Foothills found their leader in underclassman Raylee Hancock, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Madison Pond, who scored 13 points.
Crismon bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.4 points per game. As for Estrella Foothills, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crismon will be home for the holidays to greet San Tan Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully San Tan Foothills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. As for Estrella Foothills, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Dysart at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Dysart will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Estrella Foothills is ranked 15th).
