Softball Recap: Snowflake Has No Trouble Against Alchesay

Snowflake won the last time they faced Alchesay and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lobos were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over the Falcons. The Lobos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Snowflake got a massive performance out of Kashlynn Cantrell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Cantrell has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Graycee Skousen, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Snowflake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alchesay, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

Coincidentally, Snowflake and Alchesay will both be playing Blue Ridge the next time they take the field. The Lobos will head out to face the Yellow Jackets at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
