The Priest River Spartans lost against the Grangeville Bulldogs two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Priest River had to suffer through a rough 56-17 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Priest River has scored all season.
Grangeville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caryss Barger, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Barger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Madalyn Green was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Priest River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Grangeville, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.
Priest River will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kellogg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday. Grangeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
