Covington Catholic waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Holy Cross Indians get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colonels, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Covington Catholic pushed their record up to 24-11 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Holy Cross, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Covington Catholic nor Holy Cross have any future games scheduled.
