The Dumont Huskies lost against the Westwood Cardinals back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dumont was dealt a 41-12 loss at the hands of Westwood. Dumont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.
Robbie Carcich was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 203 yards and a touchdown while completing 90.5% of his passes. Joe Klein was in the mix too, providing Westwood with two touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Dumont and nudges their season record down to 4-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.5 points per game. As for Westwood, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dumont will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Tenafly at 10:30 a.m. on November 23rd. As for Westwood, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Newton at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Newton is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
