Given Sanford's advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while St. Andrew's is ranked 43rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sanford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquis Newson, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Sanford's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for St. Andrew's, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
