The State College Little Lions will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Central Dauphin East Panthers at 7:30 p.m. State College is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Last Tuesday, State College came up short against the Trojans and fell 59-49.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Aidan Angus, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds. Luke Torbic was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Central Dauphin East had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Milton Hershey with a 61-57 win on Wednesday. Given Central Dauphin East's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Spartans are ranked 571st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
State College's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Central Dauphin East, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.
State College beat the Panthers 48-40 in their previous matchup back in January. Does State College have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
