Manzanola were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Colorado School for the Deaf Blind 61-12. The success made it back-to-back wins for Manzanola.
Manzanola's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 43 points in the first half. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind came up with 12 to make it 43-12 heading into the break. The Manzanola defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.
Senior Aaron Sotelo, who rushed for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Manzanola's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Axel Escareno, who racked up 9 tackles. The game pushed Colorado School for the Deaf Blind down to 0-2 and pulled Manzanola up to the reverse at 2-0.
Manzanola will look to defend their home turf next week against Branson/Kim at 1:00 PM. As for Colorado School for the Deaf Blind, they will face off against Hanover.
